Privacy Policy
MVP Sudoku — DAZ GAMES LLC
Effective date: October 22, 2026
Who we are
MVP Sudoku is published by DAZ GAMES LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”), a limited liability company registered in New Jersey, United States. This policy covers the MVP Sudoku mobile app on iOS and Android. If you have any question about privacy, or want to make a request about your data, write to us at support@dazgames.app and we will respond.
The short version
We don’t have accounts, we don’t ask for your name or email, and we don’t run servers that store your data. Your game progress stays on your phone. The one outside company involved is Google, which serves the ads — and Google does collect some information in order to do that. The sections below explain exactly what.
Information stored on your device
Your puzzle progress, statistics, streaks, token balance, settings, whether you have purchased Remove Banner Ads, and the age group the app store last reported (see “Age information from the app store” below) are saved on your device using your phone’s local storage. This information is never sent to us. We cannot see it, and we have no way to retrieve it.
Your phone’s own backup system may keep a copy of it. On Android, Google’s Auto Backup is switched on by default and copies app data to your own Google Account. On iPhone, app data is included in your iCloud device backup if you have iCloud Backup turned on. In both cases the copy is held in your own Google or Apple account, under your control and governed by their terms — not by us. We have no access to it. You can manage or switch off these backups in your device settings, and delete stored backups through your Google or Apple account.
Information we do not collect
We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise GPS location, microphone or camera data, or any text you type. The app requests no runtime permissions such as location, camera, microphone or contacts. On iPhone it requests no permissions at all. On Android the permissions it declares relate only to internet access, advertising and in-app purchases, which are described below. We use no analytics product and no separate crash-reporting service of our own.
Advertising, and what Google collects
We show advertising through Google AdMob, a service operated by Google LLC. There are two kinds: a banner on the game screen, and rewarded videos you can choose to watch in order to earn tokens. Rewarded videos are not offered to players the app store says are under 18. AdMob is the only advertising network in the app, and Google is the only third party that receives any information from it.
Ads in MVP Sudoku are non-personalized. They are not selected based on your interests, your browsing history, or a profile built about you. Non-personalized advertising still requires some information to work, however, and the Google Mobile Ads SDK inside the app collects the following and sends it to Google:
- Device and account identifiers — on Android, the Android advertising ID (AAID) and app set ID; where applicable, identifiers related to accounts signed in on the device; and identifiers that Google creates for use within this app, which change over time
- IP address, which Google may use to estimate your approximate location, generally at city level. We never receive precise or GPS location
- App interaction information — for example app launches, ad views, taps, and video views
- Diagnostic and performance information about the app and the ad software, such as launch time and errors
- On Android, access to Android’s built-in advertising features, including Topics (broad interest categories that the phone itself estimates from app use) and ad measurement
Google uses this information to deliver advertising, to limit how often the same advertisement is shown to you, to detect fraud and invalid activity, to keep its services secure, and to measure and report results. Data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted while in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS).
Google’s own privacy policy explains how Google handles this information: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Google also publishes a specific explanation of how it uses information from apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
On iOS, we do not request permission to track under Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework, and we do not use Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA). No information from this app is used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we do not sell or share your information with data brokers.
Third parties who receive information
Google LLC is the only third party that receives information collected through this app. We confirm that Google is required to provide the same or equal protection of user data as is stated in this privacy policy, in accordance with the Google Play Developer Program Policies, the Apple Developer Program License Agreement, and Google’s own published privacy commitments. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with any other company, advertiser, analytics provider, data broker, parent company, subsidiary, or affiliate.
This policy links to pages operated by Google. Those pages are governed by Google’s own privacy policy, not by ours, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
International transfers of information
DAZ GAMES LLC is based in the United States, and Google LLC, our advertising partner, is also based in the United States. If you use the app from outside the United States — including from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland — the information described in the advertising section above is transferred to, and processed in, the United States and potentially in other countries where Google operates.
These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your own country. Where such a transfer is made from the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, Google states that it relies on legal transfer mechanisms recognized under applicable law, including Standard Contractual Clauses and its certification under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions. Details are set out in Google’s privacy policy, linked above. We ourselves receive no personal information, so we carry out no international transfer of our own.
Your choices
You have several ways to control the information described above:
- On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Settings › Privacy › Ads. Deleting it stops apps from receiving an advertising identifier for you
- On iOS, no advertising identifier is available to this app, because we do not request tracking permission
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you can change your advertising consent choices at any time through the Privacy choices item in the app’s settings
- Clearing the app’s data in your device settings erases everything the app has stored on the device
- Deleting the app removes everything it has stored on the device
- You can manage or switch off your phone’s backup of app data, and delete backups already stored, in your Google Account or iCloud settings
You can also review and change the advertising settings on your Google Account at https://adssettings.google.com
If you are in the EU, the UK, or Switzerland
Before any advertising loads, you will be shown a consent screen asking what you agree to. It is provided through Google’s User Messaging Platform, a consent management platform certified by Google. No advertising is requested until you have made a choice. Because the consent screen itself is provided by Google, Google receives your IP address and basic technical information about your device when it shows you the screen. You can reopen that screen and change your answer at any time using the Privacy choices item in the app’s settings.
Purchases
MVP Sudoku offers one purchase: Remove Banner Ads, a one-time purchase that removes the banner advertisement from the game screen. The transaction is handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see or receive your card number, billing address, name, or any other payment detail. We receive only a confirmation from the store that a purchase has completed, so that the app can switch the banner off.
Rewarded videos remain available after this purchase, except for players under 18 as described above, because they are how you earn tokens in the game. They are always optional and are never shown unless you choose to watch one. Because rewarded videos remain available, the advertising software described above continues to operate in the app after this purchase.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, not by us.
Security
Because we operate no servers and receive no personal information, there is no database of ours for anyone to breach. Information stored on your device is protected by your device’s own operating system security. Information sent by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS).
How long information is kept, and how to delete it
We do not retain any personal information about you, because none is transmitted to us. Information stored on your device is kept until you delete it. Clearing the app’s data in your device settings, or deleting the app, removes it from the device immediately.
If your phone’s backup system has already copied that information to your Google Account or to iCloud, deleting the app does not remove that copy. You can delete it through your Google or Apple account settings, as described under “Your choices” above. We have no access to those backups and cannot delete them for you.
Information collected by Google through the advertising software is retained by Google under Google’s own retention policies, described in Google’s privacy policy linked above. You can limit or stop that collection using the options listed under “Your choices,” including resetting or deleting your advertising ID.
The app has no accounts, so there is no account to close or delete. If you would like to ask a question about your information or make a request relating to it, write to support@dazgames.app and we will respond.
Children
MVP Sudoku is a general audience app. It is not directed to children, and it is not designed to appeal to children. We ourselves never collect personal information from anyone, including children.
If the app store tells the app that a player is under 13, the app tells Google to treat every ad request as directed to a child. The Google Mobile Ads SDK still receives the identifiers, IP address and technical information described above, because an ad cannot be shown without them. For these players that information is used only to show non-personalized ads, limit how often the same ad appears, measure ads, detect fraud, and keep the service secure. Child-directed treatment stops it being used for personalized ads, to build a profile, or to contact the child.
We keep none of it. Google keeps what its SDK collects under its own retention policy, linked above.
Parents can contact us at support@dazgames.app, at (732) 217-4334, or by post at the address below. If you believe a child has provided information through this app, contact us and we will address it.
Age information from the app store
In some places, such as Texas, the law requires Apple or Google to tell the app your age range and whether a parent has approved a download or purchase. The app checks each time it starts and uses this only to apply age rules. It keeps on your phone only the age group the app store last reported (under 13, 13 to 17, or 18 and over), never your age or date of birth, so that the age rules still apply when the app store cannot be reached. This is replaced each time the app store answers. If the app store says you are under 18, the app switches off streaks, token rewards and rewarded videos. If it says you are under 13, the app also asks Google to show only ads suitable for children, as described under “Children”. Apart from that, the age information is never sent to us or anyone else; only your phone’s own backup, described above, may keep a copy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information — for example the right to access it, correct it, delete it, object to its use, opt out of targeted advertising, or withdraw consent. These include rights under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation and under the privacy laws of your state or country.
Because we hold no personal information about you ourselves, we have nothing to look up, export, correct, or delete on request. Where those rights apply to information Google collects through the advertising software, you can exercise them through the choices listed above and through Google directly, using the links in Google’s privacy policy. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law. If you are in the EEA or the UK and believe your rights have not been respected, you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the app changes — for example, if cloud save or additional purchases are added in a future version. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page, and we will announce material changes within the app. We encourage you to review this page from time to time.
Languages
This policy is available in several languages. If a translation differs from this English version, the English version applies, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
